What is the Difference Between Surfskates and Longboards?

Surfskates offer a unique and distinct riding experience compared to traditional longboards! The movements on surfskates closely mimic surfing, setting them apart from both longboards and skateboards.

Surfskate trucks enable a wider range of motions. By shifting your weight from your toes to your heels, you can build up speed through a technique called pumping. This allows you to ride faster on surfskates without lifting your feet off the ground, which is not possible with standard skateboard or longboard trucks.

The body movements required for surfskating resemble those of surfing. Surfskate trucks are much more maneuverable than longboard trucks, allowing for very tight turns and radii that are simply not achievable with longboard trucks.
